We're building structural engineering software for every mind that shapes our world.
Students learning the fundamentals. Academics teaching with integrity.
Researchers exploring the limits. Engineers solving problems that matter.
We're building a movement to make industrial-grade structural analysis free, open-source, and accessible to everyone.
We started with OpenAnstruk-2D, built from the ground up for structural engineers. It's a classic 2D structural analysis tool delivered through your browser. Features will keep evolving, remain open source, with no hidden algorithms. We're committed to meeting industrial-grade standards.

Structural engineering software has always been exclusive. The barrier isn't knowledge, but, access. Industrial-grade tools are costly. Open-source alternatives require extensive coding skills most structural engineers don't have. Students graduate without ever using professional analysis software. Academics struggle to teach practical examples because institutional subscriptions are unaffordable. Researchers face steep learning curves for script-based tools or find themselves locked into proprietary softwares. Small firms and young engineers carry licensing costs as a burden while fighting to survive project by project.
Engineering principles are open. Published in textbooks, research articles, grounded in mathematics anyone can verify. Yet the tools that apply these principles remain gatekept: intuitive and industrial-ready, but costly; open and sophisticated, but requiring extensive coding knowledge; free but limited in capability.
We're building OpenAnstruk as an inclusive structural engineering software: open source, accessible, and industrial-grade. Designed for students learning the fundamentals, academics demonstrating practical examples, researchers exploring new methods, and engineers solving problems that matter.
We're not fighting the status quo. We're honoring a legacy that is one shaped across millennia by structural engineers whose work built the world we inhabit today. That legacy deserves tools everyone can access.
The tools that protect lives should be auditable, improvable, and permanently available. We release everything under the MIT License. Use it, modify it, distribute it.
Run OpenAnstruk today. No account required, no installation. Works in your browser, offline after first load.
